“Everyone could sense it: the band was special.”

“Having all grown up in different Californian beach towns, there’s a level of eclecticism that the four members bring to the band’s general sound.”

Bringing garage rock to the largest stage it has been on since the aughts, Sun Room today releases their single “Cadillac” and announces the upcoming EP Outta Their Minds. Molded by the skate and surf culture of Southern California that they grew up in, “Cadillac” features brash vocal tones, renders listeners unable to hold still with 60s inspired guitars, and absolutely decimates the rule book on how polished indie rock has come to be – Stream.

Holding onto the authenticity of their DIY roots despite their fast rise over the last two years, Sun Room taps into the unbridled energy of four young guys ready to fully throw themselves into the craft. Their EP Outta Their Minds will be released in Spring 2023.

“’Cadillac’ is a rambunctious garage rock jam about being too broke for a girl,” says lead vocalist Luke Asgian on today’s single. “It’s short and sweet with unhinged vocals and guitars, reminiscent of early 60s British Invasion bands. The song is exciting, fast, and intentionally unpolished- especially the unruly outro that seems to go about 200 miles per hour.”

Early 2023 will see the band on a West Coast run, with a hometown show at San Diego’s SOMA on February 3. In May, the band will take to the stages of Atlanta’s Shaky Knees festival, all while writing and releasing new music. All tour dates can be found here and below.

ABOUT SUN ROOM

Sun Room is Southern California's newest four piece rock band built up by Luke Asgian (lead vocals & guitar), Ashton Minnich (guitar), Max Pinamonti (bass), and Gibby Anderson (drums). Sun Room first formed by playing local house shows amongst the young surf community in Southern California but after a series of viral moments, two of their singles "Crashed My Bike" and "Something That You're Missing" were included on the Netflix series, Outer Banks. Later that year, the band hosted a series of headline shows including sold out dates in LA, San Diego and a set at Austin City Limits Music Festival, before supporting Irish rock band Inhaler in the US.

In 2022, Sun Room went on to open for Louis Tomlinson on his sold out North American tour before re-joining him on his South/Central American tour. In between the two runs, Sun Room was invited to re-join Inhaler on their European tour. While balancing an international touring schedule, Sun Room released two singles "Clementine" and "I Want You" each paired with music videos. Making their way back to the US after playing in 24 different countries throughout Summer 2022, Sun Room embarked on their first headline tour across North America, selling over 13,000 tickets from September to October.

In the last year, Sun Room has gained over 500k followers across social media with a steady flow of consistent listeners that continue to grow. The band's upcoming EP Outta Their Minds is set for release in early 2023.
