Spikezone Hits 11 Wins This Year With Let's Give Thanks Victory

Sent to the post as the 2-5 favorite, Troy Johnson, Charles Lo and Jagger Inc.’s Spikezone won his 11th victory of the year with an admirable gate-to-wire score in the $75,000 Let’s Give Thanks at Parx Racing Wednesday. It was the sixth straight win for the 5-year-old Florida-bred gelding who also earned his first career stakes victory in taking the six-and-a-half-furlong test against six other 3-year-olds and older.

Smile Po 'Looks Live' at Long Odds in Wait a While Stakes on Opening Day at Gulfstream Park

Florida-breds Smile Po and Sweet Sash will each attempt to upset Thursday’s Wait a While at Gulfstream Park, the opening day feature of the track’s 2024-25 Championship Meet. Set for 2-year-old fillies at seven-and-a-half furlongs on the turf, the $115,000 Wait a While has attracted 13 entries, including one on the also-eligible list.

Dean Delivers Looks to Begin New Win Streak in Fall Highweight

Stonehedge LLC homebred Dean Delivers, who had his four-race winning streak snapped last out when third in the Grade 3 Vosburgh, returns to action Friday at Aqueduct for the $150,000 Fall Highweight. Along with fellow Florida-bred Baby Yoda, Dean Delivers is among nine entered for the six-furlong test for 3-year-olds and older.
