GIFT CARD SCAMS

Someone might ask you to pay for something by putting money on a gift card, like a Google Play or iTunes card, and then giving them the numbers on the back of the card. If they ask you to do this, they’re trying to scam you. No real business or government agency will ever insist you pay them with a gift card. Anyone who demands to be paid with a gift card is a scammer.

AND

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22

9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:000 AM

Outside of the Medicare open enrollment period, there are two common themes for why someone requests a SHINE appointment. The first is they are new to Medicare because either they are approaching age 65, are over 65 but are just now retiring, or have been receiving Social Security disability income for 2 years and find themselves involuntarily enrolled.  The second is related to assistance with Mass Health programs.

If either of these applies to you, call

Winter Guided Exploration

Friday, February 17

10:00 AM  - 11:30 AM

110 Eel Point Road

Linda Loring Nature Foundation (map)

Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean all of nature is asleep!

Join us for a winter guided nature exploration on a portion of our 275-acre property.

Strolling over our gently rolling trails, we’ll explore sandplain grasslands and coastal heathlands, and enjoy views of Long Pond. We will look up, down, and all around to see what’s up and about this winter around the property. We will share the history of the property, current and future research, and the latest in habitat management.

We’ll look for mammal tracks, spy on winter ducks in Long Pond, and explore other signs of life around the LLNF property.

This event is free and open to all! Bundle up and we will head out in any temperature. Binoculars are available for use.
