New blog alert! We're getting closer on teacher pay, but are we there yet?

You may have heard us mention it before, but Utah is suffering from a teacher shortage. And, contrary to how it might sound, that doesn’t just mean we don’t have enough teachers in the classroom, it also means we have too few students today wanting to enter the profession tomorrow. Not to mention, of the new teachers we do have, only 59 percent have teaching degrees, leading to higher turnover rates. A driving factor of this shortage? Teachers simply aren't paid enough. Especially in today's economy.

The good news is there's a solution, and while there's a lot to it, a big part of it is improving teacher compensation.

Click the button below to read our newest blog post and learn more about the factors driving the teacher shortage in Utah, the impacts this has on our students and communities, and the steps we can take to change the future of teaching.
