Hey Beach Family!

I wanted to start off by saying how proud I am of this campus. All our students are constantly raising the bar and ASI appreciates every single one of you. Throughout the entire Future U project campaign our students have gone above and beyond! But it’s not over yet – for more information on the project, to voice your feedback, or to find out how you can still get involved, please check out asicsulb.org/furtureu.

I also want to take a moment to congratulate our new ASI Student Government for the 2023 – 2024 academic year, especially our new executive team, Mitali Jain, ASI President-elect, Teresa Falcon, ASI Executive Vice President-elect, and Alvin Tu, ASI Vice President of Finance-elect. For more information on our new Student Government, visit asicsulb.org/elections.

As we head into spring break, make sure to check out these upcoming events and resources!

  • ASI was thrilled to host Jennette McCurdy for An Evening With as she discussed her book. For those who were unable to attend, don’t fret! Keep an eye out on ASI’s Event Calendar for all event updates, and who knows, your favorite artist just might show up at our next event!
  • As a student at Long Beach State University (LBSU), you have access to FREE resources such as the Beach Pantry, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Career Development Center and so much more. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to utilize these resources while you have the chance!

Finally, make sure you are tuned in to all our social media accounts to hear about ASI’s updates in real time. In addition, check out @csulbasi on Instagram to tune into my series, “Iced Coffee with Isaac.” Get to know me better as your ASI president as I update you with insider news and announcements. You won’t want to miss out because your next coffee might be on me!

As always, my door is open for those who have any questions and inquiries. Have the best time on your spring break! I hope it’s the refreshment you need as we prepare for the semester to come to a close.
