Directing Workshop

Friday to Sunday, October 4-6

We’re delighted to bring back Liz Hobbs to conduct a workshop for experienced and prospective directors. Liz has directed two excellent and ambitious productions for Shuswap Theatre, Romeo and Juliet and The Secret Garden. Apart from being a highly skilled director she is also a very fine teacher. Deadline to register is Sept. 22.

AGM

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday, September 29 at 2:00 pm. Warm up for the big event by bringing a potluck dish at 12:30 to share with fellow members. A great opportunity to greet old friends before the meeting.

Board Nominations

If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors for a two year term, or would like to nominate another member, please contact one of the Returning Officers, Lois Towgood or Teresa McKerral . Nominations close on September 22.

Our bylaws require that anyone standing for election to the Board must be a member in good standing for at least 14 days prior to the meeting. There are no nominations from the floor nor are proxy votes allowed. Memberships expire September 30 each year.

Parade Fun

A huge thanks to all involved in our float for the Salmon Arm Fair Parade especially the youth who stepped up and did an amazing job representing Shuswap Theatre. Great fun was had even though the rain caused some last minute changes to prevent damage to some set pieces and costumes.

Flamenco Performance

This Saturday, September 15 at Shuswap Theatre, experience this thrilling, award-nominated flamenco music and dance production, performed by international artists from Spain, France and Canada. Doors open 6:30 pm, curtain at 7:30. Read the details on our website including how to purchase tickets.
