CYBER SALE

Stellarvue SVX-102T in Stardust Blue, with a small blemish.

Stellarvue Cyber Sale begins this Monday!

Save $300 - $500 on new SVX refractors with minor cosmetic blemishes. Stellarvue makes premium refractors. We hand figure the optics on all SVX refractors to make them as perfect as we can. We also focus on mechanical and cosmetic quality. Over the years, we have set aside some of our telescope tubes or dew-shields for having a very minor paint blemish or a small scratch or two. We have accumulated a number of these very lightly blemished tubes or dew shields. Since we have never featured SVX refractors on our Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale, we decided this year to offer lightly blemished, premium refractors at $300 - $500 off. The 90 and 102 will be $300 off and the 127Ds 130T's, 140T's and 152T's will be $500 off.

Are these the same as new? Yes, these are brand new telescopes made with the same hand-figured objectives and the parts that go into a new telescope. They are covered with our standard 30-day money-back guarantee and 2-year warranty. The only difference is, they will have a tube or dew shield with a small mark or blemish on it. Since these telescopes have not yet been built, you can upgrade the focuser from our standard 3" Stellarvue to a Feather Touch or Moonlite focuser. Just select the focuser you want when you place the order.

Limited Quantity: Many of these blemishes are hard to photograph and we cannot photograph and keep track of every blemished tube. If you want a pristine telescope, and most of our customers do, you should order one at full price. However, if you are on a limited budget and do not mind a small scratch or blemish on either the tube or dew shield, this is your chance to save $300 - $500. Quantities are obviously limited. As we run out of blemished tubes in a given model, the ability to place the order online will go away. When this happens, it means we have no more blemished tubes for this model. We expect these to go quickly.

Delivery: Once you order, please allow several weeks for delivery. We have a number of these blem tubes and a number of completed objectives standing by with more objectives at the coating lab and on the way. The sooner you order, the sooner we can assemble, align, QC and ship yours. When we run out of objectives in house, we will have to wait for more to come from the coating lab. The other thing that will delay an order is the focuser selected. Order with a Stellarvue 3" focuser and there will be no focuser-caused delay but if you order an upgrade, those focusers are limited. It may take 30 days or more to get certain upgraded focusers. You can call us to get a more accurate estimate of a shipping date. Be aware, we are closed Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, but we will be available the following Saturday to answer emails and take your calls.

Cyber Sale - Certified Preowned Telescopes

As part of our Cyber sale, we will be offering a limited number of certified-preowned telescopes at great prices. Some of these will be older models (SV telescopes not figured in our shop) while others will be relatively new SVX telescopes hand figured here in our figuring and metrology lab.

In particular, we had some customers develop "One Inch Itis." They traded in their outstanding SVX152T's for our new flagship SVX180T. These instruments are all in good to excellent condition and will sell for $2000 off! These telescopes come with various focusers; one has a Moonlite (pictured above). We have decided to swap out focusers as needed for customers who order these particular SVX152T telescopes. So, when they become available on Monday, you can select which focuser you prefer. Upgraded focusers cost more but you will still receive $2000 off for these CPO's. We expect these to be sold quickly.

Check out our Cyber Sale this Monday at 10AM Pacific Time!

Last year we did our first Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale. We sold former model (non-SVX) telescopes and this helped clear out the old stock.

We never intended to sell SVX refractors during this sale, since these telescopes are extremely expensive and time consuming to make. Each year we sell all that we can make. The idea to use this sale to sell blems, came to me two weeks ago. I noticed the tubes and dew shields we had that did not pass our QC. That is when this idea struck me. For customers on a limited budget this is a great opportunity. We will see how it goes next week! Jan and I along with our entire team wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!

The mission of Stellarvue is to inspire a healthy interest in science and astronomy by handcrafting precision telescopes.
