Reminder - Chicago Livery License Renewals For 2025

Livery vehicle licenses will expire on December 31, 2024. To ensure a smooth and timely renewal for the 2025 term, please follow the guidelines below:

Important Dates and Information:

• BACP Office Closures: Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.
• Walk-in Hours Until December 13: The Public Vehicle Licensing Operations Facility at 2350 W. Ogden Avenue, 1st Floor, Chicago, IL 60608 is open for walk-ins from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM (no appointment needed). After 11:30 AM, service is by appointment only.
• Appointment-Only Service: From December 16, 2024, to January 10, 2025, all services will be by appointment only.
• Walk-in Service Resumes: Starting January 13, 2025, walk-ins will be accepted from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM; thereafter, service will be by appointment only.

1. Pay the Renewal Fee: The renewal fee is $500. You can now conveniently pay online at ChiPay.Chicago.gov.
2. Display Your New Hard Card: Once your renewal is complete, remember to display your new hard card on the passenger-side dashboard.

Major progress being made in I-490 Tollway Project, officials say

BENSENVILLE, Ill. (WGN) — An evolving project dating back more than 15 years with a goal of creating western access to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport is progressing as officials eye a 2027 completion date.

On Monday, transportation officials with the Illinois Tollway, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, local mayors, and others were at the Illinois Tollway’s M-16 Maintenance Facility to share their excitement about the project’s milestones and next steps.
