Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries
Thank you for all your dedication to this ministry. Bringing one food item to church is a simple but powerful way to help our community. Between the main pantry and Colonial Manor, GWCM served 869 families (3,241 people) in September and 1,105 families (4,153 people) in October. This averages to 218 families per week.
Urgent Need: canned vegetables and peanut butter and jelly.
Ongoing Need: Cereal, pasta and sauce, pancake mix and syrup, hearty soups.
Thanksgiving
The pantry has begun bagging “the fixins” for the Thanksgiving distribution days. They will be picking up 400 turkeys from the Food Bank of South Jersey. If you would like to donate your free turkey, they would appreciated it if it was dropped off on November 19th or 21st during open hours 8:00 am—11:00 am due to freezer space. Drop off location - 300 East Barber Avenue, Woodbury (Seventh Day Adventist Church).
Christmas
This year the pantry will be giving each family a hygiene bag for Christmas. Christ Church has volunteered to turn in 50 bags. We can do it!
Each bag will gallon ziplock that includes: soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, disposable razors, and dental floss. (No mouthwash please). These items are easily purchased at a dollar store. We are hoping each Christ Church family will be able to contribute a bag or two. If your children need service hours, this is a great project for them to work on, we can give them a service hours receipt. The last Sunday to collect the hygiene bags is December 15th.
GWCM is collecting new and unwrapped toys to benefit the children of clients. (see flyer on next page with Drop off locations.
If you have any questions, please contact Darcie Sanchez (856) 906-8800.
Information about monetary donations and events can be found at GWCM.org.
