November Highlights: A Month of Activities, Fitness, and Furry Friends at BBBPRD2!
November was a busy month at BBBPRD2, packed with exciting events and memorable moments! We kicked things off with our Son’s Choice Dance, where dozens of guests gathered for a lively evening of dancing and celebration. Later, we unwound at Family Movie Night, enjoying a great film together.
Our Mushroom Foraging excursion offered a chance to explore nature and learn about local fungi, while our Wreath-Making Workshop and Mug-Crafting Class gave everyone a chance to tap into their creativity.
The After-School Enrichment Program kept kids engaged with a variety of activities, and parents appreciated the convenience of dropping off their children even on Early Release Days. We also got moving with some intense group fitness sessions that brought everyone together for a good workout!
Our Junior Tennis Clinic, Junior Pickleball Clinic, and Kids Gymnastics programs were a hit, providing young participants with valuable skills and plenty of active fun. Plus, pickleball enthusiasts had the chance to play and learn the game at our Pickleball Sessions—a great way to get into this growing sport.
Oh, and did we mention puppies? Our staff brought their furry friends to work, spreading joy and cuddles to all our guests. November was truly a month to remember!

A Fond Farewell to Kyle & Upcoming Fitness Class Updates
You may have heard that Kyle, our beloved fitness instructor, will be moving away, and his last day with us will be December 4. We are truly going to miss him and are so grateful for all he’s contributed to the Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Rec community. We wish him all the best in his next adventure!
Good news! Kyle’s classes will continue under the guidance of exceptional instructors who will provide the same great fitness experience:
-
Carolyn Saletto will take over the 11 a.m. Functional Mobility and 12 p.m. Strength Fundamentals classes at the Blaine Pavilion on Mondays and Wednesdays.
-
Jenn Day will teach the 7 a.m. Functional Mobility on Mondays and Wednesdays and the 8 a.m. Get Fit on Wednesdays at the Birch Bay Activity Center.
-
Tina Mauler will lead the 3:30 p.m. Adaptive Fitness class on Wednesdays at the Birch Bay Activity Center.
We are also currently looking for a Teen Strength Coach. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact celine@bbbprd2.com.
We have set up a card at the office at the Birch Bay Activity Center where you can leave a note for Kyle. If you'd like to contribute to a gift for him, feel free to leave cash with the card as well. Thanks for being part of this!
