February 24, 2023

Good afternoon, Meadowbrook Families.

It was another amazing week for our Superstars! Our school-wide BINGO was a big hit. Our highlighted Social/Emotional strategy for this event was sportsmanship. Students read about and practiced being good sports throughout the week. Below is our Good Sportsmanship Poster.

Next week is March already. Yikes! Time is going by quickly. Next Wednesday, March 1, is our Science Fair. Everyone is welcome to attend. Even if your child didn't submit an entry, I'm sure they have a friend who did. They would love to have you come see their work.

Parents' Night Out is tomorrow at 7:00 pm at Pinstripes. I'll see you there!

Enjoy the weekend with your family.

See you on Monday,

Ericka

Change in Dismissal Procedures

In order to maximize instructional time with our students, we will begin dismissal procedures five minutes later than usual starting Monday, March 6.  Our bus riders will be dismissed at 3:25, rather than 3:20.  We will be practicing next week getting our gear on and our backpacks packed quickly in order to get to our buses by 3:30.

At 3:30 we will be dismissing our walkers and car riders, as usual.  Car riders will continue to exit through the front doors.  If buses are still in the parking lot at this time, we will be utilizing our bus entrance as an exit for car riders.  This means we will begin loading our cars at the starting car line east of the front entrance doors.  Our dismissal supervisors will help with the flow. Once our buses are out, we will be using the current way to load and exit our parent vehicles.

We appreciate your patience as we attempt to streamline our procedures to be more instructionally efficient.
