POTLUCK THEOLOGY: A CHURCH FAMILY BRUNCH

Sunday, September 29, 10-11am

Bring your favorite brunch item (either made or bought by you) to share with our church family and guests at 10am on Sunday, September 29th. There will be no Sunday school that day. This a great time to visit with old and new friends, invite people to your Sunday school or Bible study, and find out what's going on in our church. All are invited to the table!

LORD'S ACRE

Mark your calendars for Lord's Acre on October 12th! Here are some ways you can help:

• Donations of individually-packaged chips, snacks (protein bars, peanut butter crackers, pretzels, etc.), and drinks (cans of soda, bottles of water/sports drinks, juice boxes). These may be delivered to the marked bin in the Narthex.
• Plan to bring item(s) for the silent and/or live auction. Forms are available in the Narthex and on the church website, and may be turned in at the Connection Center.
• If you would like to be a vendor at Lord's Acre, please see the application on the church website.

ADULT MISSION TRIP - PROGRESS IN PERRYTON

October 2-6

It's not too late to sign up for our upcoming mission trip to Perryton! Join us as we continue repairs on a mobile home that were started during the high school mission trip. Maximum 20 participants. Sign up at the Connection Center. Please contact David Sides at 281-723-7345 with any questions.

PEDIATRICIAN IN YOUR POCKET: TEMPERAMENT, TIMEOUT, & TECHNOLOGY

September 11, 18, and 25, 6-7pm

Parents, join us Wednesday nights in September for a new parenting study, discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Dr. Erin Cleverly will facilitate. Have questions or need help with parenting? TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Begins September 10, 10am-12pm, MAC

The Tuesday morning Bible study will resume September 10, and we will be studying Revival by Adam Hamilton. Join us as we follow Hamilton on a 6-week journey to England, exploring the life of John Wesley and his defining characteristics of a Wesleyan Christian. Wesley's story is our story. It defines our faith and challenges us to rediscover our spiritual passion. We hope you will join us!

FELLOWSHIP OF MEN SERVICE EVENT

September 28, 8am-1pm, Clearfork Creek Farm

Join us at Clearfork Creek Farm, a non-profit organization that provides food to those in need in Parker County. We will be performing general repairs and maintenance, helping with tilling, tree pruning, and installation of new fencing. This event is open to all ages, so bring the whole family! ADULT MISSION TRIP

October 20-24, Disaster Relief Center, Conroe

The Mission Center in Conroe, responds to natural disasters and homelessness with pre-assembled kits that serve immediate needs. If you would like to help, please join us October 20th-24th in Conroe. There is no fee; individual expenses include hotels, gas, and meals. Sign up at the Connection Center. Deadline to register is October 6th or when the team is filled. Our youth ministry is back in full swing, and you don't want to miss the fun events we have planned! Mark your calendar for these important dates:

• Sunday, September 8,1-4pm, Bingo with Seniors at Bethesda Gardens in Benbrook
• Sundays, September 15 & 22, 3-7pm, Lord's Acre playhouse build, Quad, dinner included
• Sunday, September 29, 10am church brunch, no Sunday school; 2pm-6pm, Whirley Ball outing, $5 each

JAVA & JESUS

Thursdays, 9:00-11:00am, Gathering Room

Ladies, be a part of Java & Jesus, beginning September 5th! Java & Jesus is a group for busy moms that focuses on becoming the women God created us to be. Our first study will be a 5-week study by Trillia Newbell called Fear and Faith: Finding the Peace Your Heart Craves. Invite a friend and join us! No reading required; nursery provided. MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST

Mondays, 7:30am, MAC Center



Men, start your week with a brief devotional, led by David Stubbs. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

MANNA ROOM FOOD PANTRY

If you would like to help feed our neighbors, we are currently short of the following items:

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS - HELP NEEDED!

Please consider signing up to prepare a meal for your church family! Meals should feed around 60-70 people and cost less than $150. Expenses will be reimbursed through the church office. Sign up here. For meal ideas and "tips and tricks," please reach out to Brittany Opsahl or Kelly O'Donald.

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR AREAS OF LIFE

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing daily challenges.

• Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
• Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month
• Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - offer compassionate and confidential prayer, support, and encouragement
