A Word From Our President

Happy Holidays!!

With the hustle and bustle of the year starting to wind down, I hope each of you are able to spend some quality time with your family and friends this holiday season. If you still have shopping left to do, please consider the nearly 750 Chamber member businesses. We truly have some of the best merchants who offer unique gifts and amazing customer service!

Looking back, we had a great year that included over 40 events, numerous advocacy activities, dozens of partnerships, and the start of our new Talent Attraction and Retention initiative. We have an even bigger year planned for 2023 and look forward to working together with all of you!

Wishing all of you Happy Holidays!

Michigan Education Apprenticeships

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) today joined the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO), 10 school districts in Saginaw County, Saginaw Valley State University, and the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) to establish a registered apprenticeship program to develop highly skilled educators in Michigan.

Registered apprenticeships for educators are a new route for those with a passion to serve children as teachers to master their craft while they work in the classroom and are mentored by veteran teachers.

“Through the Registered Apprenticeship program, the Michigan Department of Education is creating a pathway for school districts and educational institutions to address their talent needs while providing new, life-changing opportunities for our future educators,” said Susan Corbin, director of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. “We applaud our partners at MDE for embracing the earn while you learn apprenticeship program and launching an initiative that will drive success for students and educators throughout our state.”

Get your Fast Track Pass today!

The Fast Track Pass is a fast and convenient way to attend our monthly Eye Opener Breakfasts for the whole year. With a Fast Track Pass you will automatically be registered to attend each month, have the convenience of a one-time payment, and get express check-in. The Fast Track Pass is $150 for the whole year – that’s for all ten breakfasts in 2023.

Can’t commit to every breakfast? We’ve got you covered.

Each Fast Track pass is assigned to a specific person who plans to use it every month. However, if you can't make it to a breakfast another individual from your organization can use your pass - as long as you let us know prior to the breakfast.

Does this sound convenient to you? If you would like to renew or purchase a Fast Track Pass for 2023, please reach out to Leann.
