This Thanksgiving, the CWNY team would like to take a moment to express our deep gratitude for the incredible individuals and partners who help make the Center a safe space and a caring community for women.
To our supporters and members, thank you for your commitment to CWNY’s mission. Your support is crucial to continuing to offer resources that women need to reach their full potential.
To our elected officials, thank you for your advocacy and your partnership on workforce development, education, empowerment, and wellbeing programs. The services we offer to address our community needs are made possible because of your support.
To our volunteers, thank you for your dedication to the Center’s work. It is essential to the delivery of our programs that address women’s challenges. We could not do it without you.
To our participants, thank you for your trust in us! Please know that you are at the heart of our mission. We know that many of us feel anxious because of uncertainty in different aspects of our lives. We, at CWNY, are committed to the equality, advancement, and wellbeing of women. Together, we will continue to grow, create opportunities, foster relationships, and reach success.
Today, we want to pause to reflect on the strength and compassion of our CWNY community and to celebrate and thank New Yorkers for their overwhelming support of Proposition 1, the Equal Rights Amendment. This landmark decision strengthens the New York State Constitution’s protections against discrimination—not only based on ethnicity or national origin but also in areas such as sexual orientation, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, and other essential aspects of identity. Proposition 1 serves as a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to advancing social justice for all.
