NEWPORT ART MUSEUM VIRTUAL PROGRAM
Mabel May Woodward and her Circle

Thursday, March 2, 6:30 p.m.

Join Nancy Whipple Grinnell, Curator Emerita of the Newport Art Museum for an illustrated talk on artist Mabel May Woodward, who belonged to a circle of strong independent female artists, teachers, writers and humanitarians in early 20th century Rhode Island. She has emerged as a painter of great technical virtuosity whose subject matter ranged from pretty women in gardens, to bustling scenes of workers, to sun-drenched beaches. This lecture will explore Woodward’s artistic career as well as her independent life style, surrounded and supported by like-minded and little recognized successful professional women.

Tickets for the webinar are free; donations are encouraged. Become a member today to help us continue to offer free programs for all to enjoy. Please call 617-994-6678 for more information.

The link for the webinar will be included in the order confirmation for this program.
