Hope you Enjoy your Fall Break

Use this time wisely for both relaxation and exam preparation, striking a balance that sets you up for success. Whether you're exploring the autumn beauty or sharing a meal with loved ones, remember to recharge. Reflect on your achievements, and gear up for upcoming academic assignments and deadlines with renewed focus.

If you need support, take a look at these resources from SASS to help you through. Wishing you a rejuvenating fall break and a productive preparation period.

Residence Conduct Corner: KEYS AND LOCKOUTS

As we approach the Fall Break, we wanted to share some helpful information about keys and keeping yourself and your community safe:

  • Always lock your room door when you leave your floor and/or building.
  • If you are leaving campus during Reading Week, remember your keys when you come back! If you do forget your keys or fob, please contact your Front Desk.
  • Report any lost, stolen, or malfunctioning keys or locks to your respective front desk right away.
  • Your keys are assigned to you personally and should not be shared with anyone, nor should you attempt to get copies made. This is a violation of the Residence Contract. See clause 3.15.3
  • Keep your residence community safe by ensuring you don’t allow people who do not live in the building to follow you in (ie. tailgating). Propped doors can also put you and your community at risk. Please unprop any exterior doors you notice and report them to your front desk.

Have Fun. Be Safe.

The City will enact the University District Safety Initiative (UDSI) from October 17 until November 3.

Tips for managing Flu Season

Cold and Flu season is here. Most people can manage a cold, the flu or COVID-19 at home! Here are some tips for managing mild symptoms:

For mild symptoms:

  • Rest
  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Use over-the-counter pain and fever medications as needed
  • For cough: try a teaspoon of honey or turn on a humidifier
  • For mild discomfort with breathing: keep the room cool, open the window, try relaxation exercises and shifting your position
