WHOM YOU LOVE – YOU DISCIPLINE

A parent who lets a child do whatever they want and whenever they want is a parent who does not love their child by guiding them into a path of responsible living. A lack of discipline shows a lack of love.
Likewise, God disciplines us because He loves us. His chastisement is to bring us into alignment with His word and His ways.
No matter how much He loves us, or how intimate a relationship we may have attained, when we violate His commandments or instructions, there will be a price to pay.
We find a perfect example of that in the life of Moses. His relationship to God was so close and personal that God communicated with him on a face-to-face basis, not just in dreams and visions as with everyone else. Yet, when Moses disobediently struck the rock for water instead of speaking to it as told to do, it cost him. He lost his opportunity to cross the Jordan River into Canaan with the rest of Israel.
Did that disobedience cause Moses to Lose God’s favor? No. He paid a price for it; he died on the mountain overlooking Canaan. By God’s mercy and grace, angels took charge over his body. Moses was disciplined, but not cast out.
God will discipline you in some manner for your overt disobedience, but He will not cast you out. Your salvation shall remain sure and firm, but your works of an unrighteous sort, although forgiven, will be judged for good or bad at the “Bema Seat” of judgment. The ultimate discipline at this judgment seat would be a loss of reward versus the gain of reward for your righteous works.
Remember, God disciplines those who He loves to bring change, but we must be willing to change or will suffer loss of reward for eternity.

HOW TO OVERCOME

If you need answers, you will find them in the scriptures. Most of the time you must dig for them, but they are there.
In Revelation 12 we see that the accuser of the brethren who is known as Satan, the old serpent, the devil, stands before the throne of God daily accusing us before the Father. He has a right to do this because he is a legalist. Yet, we also have our legal rights to stop him.
In Revelation 12:11 it says how we overcome. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Let’s speak about those three things that overcome Satan.
1. The blood of the Lamb. Jesus’ shed blood defeated Satan on the cross. When we receive salvation, that blood is applied to our sin, and it wipes it out for eternity. This overcomes Satan.
2. The word of their testimony. The word testimony means: Record, report, and witness. That means you tell people what God has done for you, and not just in the church where you feel safe. You tell those that do not know the Lord. By doing this you overcome Satan.
3. Loved not their lives unto the death. Death should never bring fear to us because it is the doorway to the eternity with Jesus. We do not die and lie dormant in a grave. That is a lie. We are absent from our body and present with the Lord if we are Christians. No fear of death overcomes Satan!
These three things are offensive weapons to overcome Satan. Use them often and live an overcoming life! Satan cannot win when we use these weapons.

Rest in Me.
Rest, my child, rest in me. I am the only source of the rest of our soul. You have sought rest in work, and rest shall not come except you come into my rest. My rest will bring peace and refreshment to your spirit, soul, and body. My rest conquers fear and doubt. My rest ensures all that is within you that peace is yours today, tomorrow, and forever. I welcome you into my rest. Abide in me. Yea, I said of old abide, but there are few that abide in my presence and receive the rest they so desperately need. To abide you would say? Yes, come, abide and stay in the presence of my Spirit, and you shall surely find rest to your soul. Your mind is filled with things that bring confusion. Let them go, for I would say they surely will block the rest from coming. Cast doubt and fears off of you and just simply rest in me. Know that all is well, even though the natural eye would not see it that way. Yes, it is I that will bring you through this dry period saith the Lord of your soul. It is I that will bring you through and satiate you in that dry place. Do not try to figure things out. Rest, rest, rest in me saith the Lord, and know that I am your peace. You will surely not find peace anywhere else but in me. You have sought me, and I am here, so rest in me saith the Lord. I will take you through this dry time and you will come forth totally refreshed as never before. But you must trust that I know what I am doing. I hold the universe in my hand, would I not know what is best for you, my child? Yes, I am here with you and love you with an everlasting love - only you must come and rest in me, and find peace in that rest, saith the Lord.

Yes, it’s time to give God praise; For He is your rock and you can put your complete trust in Him through every situation. Today I speak the divine peace of God on those of you who are reading this. Just always remember that God is your REFUGE and He is your STRENGTH. Yes, God is a very present help to all those who love Him and will seek His face, His favor and His forgiveness. Now I pray this for you who are ready to receive it in Jesus Name; So you just trust Him through it all.
