A successful first community event co-sponsored with the McFarland Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee and School District is in the books! On Wednesday, March 1st, they hosted inspirational guest speaker, author, and resilience expert, Tasha Schuh (middle front). Pictured are individuals who are a part of the DEI Committee, Village Board, School Board, and School District. Thank you to all who were involved in the event and shout out to Village Trustee Wreh for submitting the group photo. We look forward to the next community event!

Spotlight

On Tuesday, February 28th, the Village Board passed a resolution of commendation for Wendy Motl for her 27 years of service to the Village as the Municipal Court Clerk. In other words, we wished her a happy retirement and congratulated her for all she has done! Thank you, Wendy, for you have embodied the essence of being a dedicated public servant to the Village. You will be missed. Happy retirement!

Snow emergency declared beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday March 9th

The Village of McFarland is declaring a snow/ice emergency beginning Thursday, March 9th at 6 p.m. until Friday, March 10th at 3 p.m. During the snow/ice emergency, vehicles are not allowed to be parked on public streets to assist with snow clearing. Residents and others must park vehicles in driveways or other private property. Vehicles on public streets during the snow/ice emergency are subject to citation or removal at the owner’s expense. Alternative parking is available at the Municipal Center Parking lot and other village owned parking lots.
