"Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-11
Perhaps it seems that God has placed you on a journey you did not expect, a new career, a new home, a challenging situation that stretches your faith.
To whom do you turn for help? Maybe there's a trusted friend, your pastor, family or a colleague. Chances are, each of them will offer you a different perspective based on how well they know you and their own personal experiences. Were you comforted by their words? Did you find them hard to hear? Or perhaps they even caused you to be more confused.
The one perspective that will always be true is the Word of God. God, who lived among us and journeyed with us in the flesh of his Son will redeem and bless even the unexpected journeys of all who trust in him.
Lord, sometimes you send us to unexpected places in life. Give us wisdom to discern your voice leading us in our journeys. Give us courage to know you are always with us. Amen.
