Hourly Wage Increase for IHSS Providers
Effective Jan. 1, 2025, the hourly wage for IHSS providers in Ventura County will increase from $18.25/hour to $18.75/hour.
W-2s for 2024: Important Information
Every January, W-2 tax forms are mailed out to IHSS providers. Please ensure your current addresses (mailing and residential) have been reported to our office or have been updated in the Electronic Services Portal in order to receive your W-2 in January 2025. W-2s are sent to the MAILING address last reported by a provider and recorded in the state system at the time the W-2 is generated.
Addresses can be changed online using the Electronic Services Portal after creating an account or also by contacting IHSS Public Authority and requesting a Change of Address form. If you completed the Live-In Self Certification form for Federal and State Tax Wage Exclusion (SOC 2298) during 2024, this may impact receipt of a W-2. Reminder: For any tax-related questions or advice, please check with the IRS or a tax preparer.

Beware of Text Message Scam
The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office is warning residents about a recent phishing scam targeting community members via fake text messages. These messages falsely claim to be from the County of Ventura, demanding payment for overdue bills and directing recipients to a fraudulent debt collection webpage.
The Office of the Ventura County Treasurer-Tax Collector NEVER contacts individuals via text or uses private debt collectors.
If you have questions, contact the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector at 805-654-3744.
