New Exhibit Opening Soon! | The Science of Archimedes | Oct. 20, 2024 through June 1, 2025

Our newest traveling exhibit, The Science of Archimedes, opens on Sunday, October 20! Are you ready to sense the “Eureka Effect” for yourself?

This effect occurs when a previously unsolvable puzzle suddenly becomes clear and obvious. The satisfaction of finally solving what seemed like an impossible problem often causes people to shout out in excitement!

It is also known as an “Aha!” moment. This phenomenon was coined by Archimedes himself when he suddenly came up with the theory of displacement during a bath and yelled out “Eureka,” which means “I’ve found it” in Greek. 🤯

Experience this phenomenon for yourself by exploring the life, history, and groundbreaking discoveries of Archimedes, one of the greatest mathematicians and scientists of all time!

Are you a member? Join us on Saturday October 19, from 12:00 to 5:00pm, for an exclusive members-only preview of The Science of Archimedes before it opens to the public. Register today! Not a member? Become one today!

Tickets to Archimedes are $8 for adults and $6 for children (ages 2-12) and seniors (65+) for non-members. Tickets for Standard Members are $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Enhanced Members and children under 2 are free. Non-members must also pay general museum admission.

The Science of Archimedes is presented by the Leinweber Foundation.
