Discover Haverford's Annual Meeting Celebrated Their Initiatives and Award Recipients

On Wednesday, October 18 we honored local businesses and community members with the Annual Awards of Excellence, gave an update on our current initiatives, a look at our 5-year strategic plan, and the results of the Haverford Township Facade Improvement Matching Grant Program at our Annual Meeting. Thank you to our township dignitaries who came to support the evening as well as our board of directors, community members, and small business owners.

This year, local participating businesses are offering sales and deals starting on Black Friday (November 24th) through Shop Small Saturday (November 25th). Greening Volunteers Needed on November 19th!

Help Discover Haverford "spruce up" the planters in our business districts. Many hands make light work! You can sign up for a morning or afternoon shift. Thank you to our volunteers for helping to beautify our business districts.

Discover Haverford Welcomes LifeFire Weight & Wellness

Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Katie Thompson-Mayes came to Pennsylvania for college. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a degree in nursing, though her school career started out in a different direction. Her major was originally Egyptology, “I always loved archeology and ancient history,” switched to communications, and finally landed on nursing.
