JANUARY 2025

You Only Die Once

A new class offering at 4PM every other Wednesday starting January 15 is being presented by Annette and Chris Matthews: You Only Die Once: Preparing for the End of Life with Grace and Gusto. Death is something most people usually don't like to think about; however, by putting it off, we miss out on life's last great adventure. This course is as practical as it is profound and teaches that good preparation for death is the foundation for a bold and rewarding life. The 2 texts, You Only Die Once and My Personal Planner, cover all the details you might not have even thought about. The majority of the hour consists of sharing by bodacious discussion among all the participants (to stimulate relationships) rather than long, detailed lectures. Contact Annette Matthews at 832-244-4524 for more information, sign-up, and books ($10 each). Enter into an amazing, freeing, and upbeat end-of-life planning adventure.

BUSY & REWARDING WEEKEND!

Your generosity in action!

This past weekend was one of our busiest of the year!

At Breakfast with St. Nicholas we had record attendance and lots of awesome pictures were taken with St. Nicholas! Thanks to the amazing parishioners who purchased off our Amazon wish list & volunteers who did all the assembly work, we sent 110 Seafarer's boxes down to the Port of Houston! These boxes are such a blessing to the sailors and the St. Dunstan's men who delivered them were touched hearing what a difference it makes to those who are away from home for so long.

Lessons & Carols also had the best attendance we've seen in a few years with beautiful music and a wonderful cookies & hot chocolate reception after! The youth stayed and hung out even more to have their annual Christmas Party and had a blast.

Kids Hope also shared some great updates (see Facebook post here) on where all of your donations went to! Eiland Teachers, Students & Families were blessed with gifts this Holiday season.

This coming Sunday, the Toy Bags that you all filled up will be distributed to children and their families, who are so incredibly grateful for the Christmas gifts they'll get to open.

We don't always see it so immediately, but the generosity of this parish truly touches lives and makes a huge difference in the world. We couldn't be more grateful for all of you!
