On November 9th, Leatherstocking Abstract proudly sponsored an event by Broadway Utica where 1500 local students were welcomed into the dreamy world of the holiday classic film The Polar Express at The Stanley Theatre.

"Thousands of tiny faces pressed against the cold, frosted glass, their eyes like giant saucers, as yellow buses approached The Stanley Theatre. The chill of winter swirled through the air as an actor, dressed as The Polar Express conductor, paced the sidewalk with an oversized lantern and stopwatch in his hand, as he shouted, “Welcome! Welcome to the Polar Express!" -Broadway Theatre League

It was a great day for students to relax and enjoy an afternoon at the marvelous Stanley Theatre. We were happy to receive thank you cards from various students who marveled at the magical day!
