Get up to date with your dues! . . . and thanks
to those who have already paid!
| |
Like many organizations, the LWV Kent relies on membership dues and other funding sources to continue its work. If you have not renewed (or joined) yet, click here to go to the membership page on our website, where you can renew, pay online or find the address for mailing your check (which is also found below).
How much does it cost?
Here is an explanation of our membership dues structure:
- Dues are tax-deductible.
- League annual dues for one person are $60.
- Adding a person or persons from your household is $30 each per year. The household shares printed membership materials. However, online communication goes to each person’s email.
- Student dues are $5 per year.
- You can pay more than $60 for an annual membership and help us expand our organization by supporting others who want to join.
- You also may pay an amount that fits your budget.
Want to have an even greater impact?
After paying members’ state and national dues, the LWV Kent receives about $4 per member from a standard $60 membership. So, we must find other ways to raise funds to sustain our organization. We are asking members to consider the following options:
- Pay by check so that LWV Kent benefits from your membership dollars at the local level. Make your check for new or renewing memberships payable to LWV Kent, and it mail to: G. Pytel, 4578 Creekside Dr., Kent, Ohio, 44240.
- If paying online (and we realize that is a necessity for a growing number of members), please consider covering the PayPal processing cost of your membership. PayPal charges 2.2 percent and 30 cents per transaction.
Questions? Think you paid but don't see your name on the list? Email us here to find out why. If you have joined in the last several months, you are good to go!

Your ideas shape the new 2-year plan
for LWV Kent
Learn more at the All Member Meeting, Monday, Oct. 16, 7PM
| |
The All Member Meeting on Oct. 16, 7 p.m., at Kent Social Services is your opportunity to help shape and build the next two years of the Kent League's important work.
During the August AMM, members broke into small groups to answer questions like:
- Name community organizations for whom LWVK could partner to further our mission.
- List events in which we do not currently participate that would further our mission.
The group's answers were gathered, tabulated and used to develop LWVK's next 2-year strategy and new committee structure. Join your fellow leaguers on Oct. 16 where you will have a chance to learn how you can be a part of the process and meet the new committee chairpeople! We will also be providing redistricting updates and League updates.
In addition to your ideas, please bring a nonperishable food item or monetary donation for Kent Social Services. MAP to Kent Social Services.
