This event is Women United's take on a Thanksgiving-themed ugly sweater party, so wear your ugly sweater, hat, scarf, or over-the-top Thanksgiving-themed attire. We'll have some tacky headbands available if you need help getting in the spirit!

Hurricane Helene United Way Relief Fund

In light of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, we want to provide information on the United Way Relief Fund for those in our community wishing to donate. With the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina coming up next year, we are reminded of how deeply natural disasters can affect us all. Preliminary reports indicate hundreds of lives lost, with hundreds of families still missing and entire communities cut off due to destroyed infrastructure. Rescue efforts are ongoing, but the challenges are immense.

The Community Center of St. Bernard

This is a family-friendly event with FREE admission featuring great blues music, refreshing brews, and delicious BBQ.


All proceeds benefit the Community Center of St. Bernard and all of the programs that it offers: the Food Pantry, the Backpack Program, and the Hygiene Program. Through these programs the Community Center of St. Bernard feeds over 600 families a month and 250 students a week in our public schools who do not have access to meals over the weekend.

Chalmette High School

We’re pleased to share an important event for our community’s youth. Chalmette High School is hosting its annual College & Career Night on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Main Campus Cafeteria. This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and organizations to connect with approximately 500 senior students and their families.

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Please arrive by 5:00 p.m. for setup and refreshments)

Location: Main Campus Cafeteria, Chalmette High School


The fair will feature a browse format with tables for recruiters. Please plan your materials accordingly to engage with the senior students effectively.

Memorial Bruncheon

Family Violence Program of St. Bernard

Join the Family Violence Center of St. Bernard in remembrance of those who lost their lives due to domestic violence. Brunch from Crave will be served and hear from local officials and Survivors.


Tickets for the event are $40 each or $350 for a table of 8. Pre-sale tickets for Bruncheon can be purchased at 2209 Packenham Dr. Cash, Check or Venmo accepted (see flyer for scan code or send to FVPSB)

They will also have a raffle for a Wreath with over $1,000 worth of gift cards that will be drawn at the event. Winner does not need to be present. Tickets are $5 each or 3 tickets for $10.

Safety Session at the Sheriff's Department

Our WPN safety session at the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Center was a tremendous success! A special thank you to Lt. Eric Eilers and Dep. Aaron Johnson for sharing invaluable insights on home security and personal safety.

Attendees left with practical knowledge to enhance their safety at home and in the community. If you missed this session, please join us for our Gun Safety Session on October 10th.
