After-School Program Registration: Winter & Spring Slots Still Open

Registration for Cherry Chase’s winter programs and select spring slots is ongoing. Program details and schedules are below.

Family STEAM Night: An Evening of Fun & Discovery! on Jan 25

Join us for an evening of exploration, investigation, and learning, full of fun hands-on activities, presentations, and exhibits for the whole family in the fields of Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts & Math. This is a free event. Open to all ages, but you must be registered or volunteer to attend. Bring a bag to take creations home with you. 

Registration required to attend; Please Register Here by January 17

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: This event is only possible if we have enough volunteers to help run the booths. Please consider taking turns working a booth & walking around with kids to enjoy the event (trade off with your partner or friend).

Each attending family must provide one volunteer for one shift to be admitted to the event after registration closes.

Adult family members are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children during the event.

Walk-a-Thon T-shirt Design Contest Now Open

The Walk-a-Thon T-shirt design contest is now OPEN! (check out contest rules and examples of previous t-shirt design winners)

Theme: CHARGERS GO THE EXTRA MILE

The winning design will be featured on the 2025 Cherry Chase Walk-a-thon t-shirt, which ALL students will get. The winning artist leads the first lap of the Walk-a-Thon and chooses their own color for their t-shirt.

Submission deadline: January 17th, 2025.

Contest winner will be announced on January 31st, 2025.

NOTE: Walk-a-thon will be during the school day this year, 9am - 12pm, April 4th, 2025. PLEASE SAVE THE DATE and TAKE THE MORNING OFF WORK TO JOIN US.

Submit your volunteer hours to your company program now

Volunteers, if you work for a company listed below or one with a volunteer time matching program, please submit your hours. It adds up fast! You already did the volunteering, now Cherry Chase can get paid for it too!

Employers like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Genentech, Starbucks, and GAP will donate money for every hour you volunteer.

Examples: Microsoft $25/hour, Apple $25/hour, Google $10/hour, Levis $10/hour, Genentech $10/hour, Survey Monkey $25/hour

2025, the Year of the Snake, symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and transformation.

Join us at the 9th Annual Lunar New Year Celebration in Cherry Chase Multi on the evening of Friday, January 31, 2025!

We’re calling for performers and volunteers to help make this event extraordinary. Whether you or your child wants to showcase your talent in the chorus, the fashion show, or other exciting performances and programs, or to lend a hand behind the scenes, we’d love to have you!

Join The 2025 Walk-a-Thon Steering Committee!

Planning for Cherry Chase’s biggest school fundraiser and community event of the year is underway and the Walk-a-Thon steering committee would love your help! We have several open roles on our team and we welcome your skills and enthusiasm for making this Walk-a-Thon a huge success! We’re looking for volunteers to join our committee to lead our prize program, t-shirt design and distribution, on-site food program, and finance function. Interested in joining our awesome team? Direct Appeal Update

Thank you again for your support of our Direct Appeal campaign. Overall we had a terrific response with over 40% of families participating. Special congratulations to Mrs. Cossey’s 3rd grade class that achieved 100% participation and will be rewarded with a class party!
