Be My Valentine
Sunday, February 12
Author Philip Roth wrote: "The only obsession everyone wants: ‘love.’ People think that in falling in love they make themselves whole? The Platonic union of souls? I think otherwise. I think you’re whole before you begin. And the love fractures you. You’re whole, and then you’re cracked open." Rev Tom will explores romantic love.

Agape: Unearned Love
Sunday, February 19
Enfleshed wrote: "Love cannot be bought or sold; it does not make a profit…
Love embraces everyone, every creature, every creation.
It knows us intimately. It holds us collectively.
Love transcends every boundary that seeks to confine it…
It does no harm.
It only sets free."
Rev. Tom explores what it means to love and be loved without having to earn it.

Modern-Migration - Doing it the "Right Way" in times of Crisis
by Amanda Harris
Sunday, February 26
I'm Amanda Harris, and I've been practicing law since 2009. My specialty is humanitarian immigration, specifically asylum, human trafficking, and appeals. I've been honored to work with asylum seekers from Central America, Mexico, Angola, DR Congo, South Africa, Syria, and beyond. My cases have been heard in asylum offices and immigration courts across the country through the last 3 presidents and their administrations. I'll be talking about how people come to the USA, apply for asylum, what it's like going through the system, and sharing a few of my client's stories. I hope to explain how immigrating the "right way" is more complicated than it was just 75 years ago.
