EXTENDED LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR UTILITY WORK ON LASKIN ROAD PROJECT

VIRGINIA BEACH - Beginning as early as April 10, motorists should anticipate extended single-lane closures on eastbound Laskin Road, between the bridge over Linkhorn Bay and Red Robin Road, for utility work.

The eastbound (toward the oceanfront), single-lane closures, scheduled as part of the Laskin Road Bridge Replacement and Widening Project, will be in place continuously from 9 a.m. on April 10 through 3 p.m. on April 14. One lane of eastbound, through traffic will remain open, and westbound travel lanes in this location are scheduled to remain open. Access to properties along Laskin Road will be maintained at all times while the work is underway.

A previously announced temporary closure of a portion of Fremac Drive, scheduled to begin as early as April 5 and continuing for approximately two weeks, is also part of this utility work. Click here to learn more about the temporary closure of Fremac Drive, including the detour route.

This work is weather-dependent and the schedule is subject to change.
