10 iPhone Photo Tips to Make Your Business Shine
Jeff Heyman, a new Chamber member, will bring his expertise in photography to our Speaker Series and help you use your iPhone's camera to showcase your business. Heyman, the City of Lafayette's former Communications Analyst, will demonstrate hidden iPhone camera features as well as outline classic photography tips that will truly enhance your photos. He will also discuss how best to post your pictures on social media. With a degree in Fine Art Photography, Heyman, a photographer for the Lamorinda Weekly and the Orinda News, has had photographs published and exhibited widely. He is also the principal behind Outcasts Revisited Media LLC, an Orinda-based media consulting firm. Bring your iPhone and join us for a special Speaker Series event on April 11.

Lafayette Chamber Young Professionals
The Lafayette Chamber Young Professionals hosts a wide variety of entertaining and educational events to help take us to the next level in our careers. It is designed for the younger crowd ranging in age from 21-39 years old, with “young at heart” always welcome. This is a place where young professionals can tap into our local business community and really develop relationships that will be with us for the rest of our lives.

A women-led business group. Shared experiences, contributed knowledge and skills, networking and collaboration opportunities. Empowering female entrepreneurs to build successful businesses.
Meeting once a month, typically the third Wednesday of the month, the group plans to meet at member locations throughout Lafayette at varying times from breakfast, bunch/lunch to happy hour and evening hours. Help us plan future events, take our survey!

Lafayette Art & Wine Festival 2023
The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is proud to present our 26th annual premier community event showcasing the downtown business corridor. Funds raised from this event enable the Chamber to provide our businesses and community at large with a variety of important services, program offerings, engagement, and resources throughout the year. We are also able to give back to our festival beneficiaries including Lafayette Partners in Education, many of the local school organizations and other participating non-profits. 2023 Lamorinda Zero Waste Challenge
Lafayette, are you ready for some friendly competition? Let's work together to establish sustainable habits and reduce waste in the 2023 Lamorinda Zero Waste Challenge! Anyone age 13+ can register to join; but only 1 city will be the winner. Who will it be- Lafayette, Moraga or Orinda? REGISTER TODAY!
How to play:
1. REGISTER TODAY! Then, starting April 3rd, you'll get an email/text from Sustainable Contra Costa every Monday with the two "Zero Waste Actions of the Week."
2. Capture a photo of you completing the action(s) of the week.
3. Submit your action photos via email/text by Sunday night with 1 photo attached per action.
All participants who submit photos will be entered in the weekly drawing for local gift cards (ie: Diablo Foods and Resourcefill.) WINNERS will be selected EVERY WEEK!

It is vital that businesses in Lafayette understand any risk to their business due to climate change hazards, along with natural and human-caused hazards not affected by climate change. The General Plan Advisory Committee has been updating Lafayette’s Safety Element that was last updated in 2009. The updated report includes descriptions of climate change hazards and the goals, policies and programs to help mitigate these hazards.
