A Lesson in Perseverance and Faith

Greetings Ministry Partner,

"Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won't let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. He endured the shame of being nailed to a cross, because he knew later on he would be glad he did. Now he is seated at the right side of God's throne! So keep your mind on Jesus, who put up with many insults from sinners. Then you won't get discouraged and give up."

Hebrews 12:1-3

On our Fall tour for this year, we have gone hiking many times. One of the best highlights was hiking at Grassy Ridge Mountain. We hiked 6,189 feet above sea level and about five miles to reach the top of the mountain. On this journey, I have learned much from this experience. When we first started, I committed and intended to do the best that I can do to reach the top of the mountain and know for sure that when I reached the top, I would experience God's handiwork and rejoice in those things and praise Him.

It was not easy to walk on the rocky and rough trail. First, I had to lay aside things that may hinder me. When I walked up to the mountain, I had to use more energy, and I had to endure, sometimes could not even move my foot, but I kept moving. And when I walked down the hill, I had to carefully watch every step, control, and hold back my step steadfastly to not slip down and fail. And when we successfully accomplished this, we were blessed and happy. From this walking, I can apply it to my spiritual walk with Christ. I was thinking about the Word in Hebrews 12:1-3. God teaches us and gives the direction clearly. The words, "get rid," "be determined," and "keep our eyes on Jesus," which I did use in my hiking, and I will continue to apply to my spiritual waling. How about you?

We appreciate you, your prayers and support.

Testimony

"I am Pastor O, the leader of a local church, and an alumnus of CCI. Since graduating, I have been able to improve my service to the church, such as learning and teaching through the CCI school and by being taught by the National Director. Praise to the Lord that He has made me confident in my abilities. Right now, our membership has increased from a few families to 28 families with 210 members. In addition, I continue to preach the gospel around the neighborhood and have planted a house church, where there are nine families with 60 members. I also planted another house church, where there are 16 families with 160 members. For each of these churches, I have appointed a pastor to lead them. Thank you to CCI for giving me the chance to study under the teaching of the National Director, who has helped to improve my service. May God bless the National Director and his team for sacrificing their lives to disciple and teach us."
