Summer of Sports Closing Bash

Last Thursday, we wrapped up the Summer of Sports campaign with a fun closing party at Movement LIC! Attendees enjoyed a live DJ, business showcases, and the exciting announcement of our top prize winners. A big thank you to our event sponsors Velvet Turtle Events, BrainPOP, The Greats of Craft, and Finback LIC, for making it possible. We also appreciate the 18 sports and active lifestyle businesses that participated, our program sponsor Astound Broadband, and everyone who joined us throughout the campaign. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to all who made this summer a season of active fun and community spirit!

New BID Business: On the 7 Wine Bar

Last weekend, On the 7 wine bar celebrated its grand opening at 50-04 Vernon Boulevard. Owner Yolanda Tristancho, in collaboration with local artist Donnie Miller, transformed the space with a beautiful tile mural of the Long Island City landscape and custom lighting fixtures. Wine vendors Vintus and CDW introduced the thoughtfully curated wine menu, while live music by Matt Snow set the perfect atmosphere.
