California Code of Regulations defines Timber Harvesting as: The cutting or removal of timber for the purposes of sale or profit for wood product purposes, such as lumber, biomass or fire wood. As you can imagine we have a bunch of timber properties here in Humboldt, some more valuable than others, all of which offer varying level of potential. There are two different opportunities to make money from a timber property, the first stemming from the sale of the harvested timber, and the second coming from the resale of the property to a developer who can then build on the property. Alternatively, if you have the equipment and skill, you could always build your own home to live in, or sell. |
