This Weekend in Worship

Jesus reveals his power over death by raising Lazarus from the dead. The prophet Ezekiel prophesies God breathing new life into dry bones. To those in exile or living in the shadows of death, these stories proclaim God's promise of resurrection. In baptism we die with Christ that we might also be raised with him to new life. At the Easter Vigil we will welcome the newly baptized as we remember God's unfailing promise in our baptism.

This weekend we welcome Bishop Amy Current who will preach and preside at all three worship services. She will also lead the Adult Faith Formation hour on Sunday at 9:30 am in St. Michael's Hall. Read more about Bishop Current below.

Project Gathering House

The Faith Lutheran Gathering House could use some love! We use this space for church events and to host families experiencing homelessness through our partnership with Family Promise of Greater Des Moines. We would love to make the Gathering House more home-like for our guests, which means some of the household goods need to be replaced. Please consider purchasing items through our Amazon Wish List or our Target registry. Contact Seana Jefferson (sh7jefferson@outlook.com) if you'd like to donate something that is not on the list.
