WILD KRATTS WORLD ADVENTURE

Children ages 4 to 8 can tilt and tap their way through multi-level games that encourage exploration of habitats around the world. Focusing on science, each game lets kids observe, explore and use creature power suits to complete missions and help the Kratt Brothers. As levels are completed, kids earn creature power “selfies,” habitat stickers and “Wow! Facts” that help further their animal science and natural history learning.

EXPLAINING TODAY: THE FUTURE OF AMERICA'S PAST EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE WORKSHOP

American Public Television and GPB Education are offering a summer series of train-the-trainer workshops for secondary and pre-service teachers. It’s time to build some bubbles to fill the Gashapon arcade machine! Use your knowledge of numbers to help the Gashlings make as many bubbles as you can. Bubble Build is a skill-building math game that focuses on developing children’s number sense, which is a sense of what numbers mean and their relationship to one another. The game is designed for children ages 4-8.

IT'S OKAY TO BE SMART

GRADES 9-12

It's Okay to be Smart is a show about science, but not the way you're used to it! Join host Joe Hanson as he explores the eccentricities of the scientific world. From physics and astronomy, to biology and neuroscience, nothing is off-limits in this quirky exploration of all science has to offer. The creative and fun design of the program, together with an enlightening exploration of new scientific ideas, shows that being smart isn't just okay, but truly exciting.

GEORGIA'S OWN SWAMP THING

GRADES 3-8

Don Berryhill, science specialist with the Okefenokee Regional Education Service Agency, guides students in a canoe through the Okefenokee Swamp. Bill Cribbs, a descendant of a farmer who came to the Okefenokee in the late 1800s, and park ranger Pete Griffin describe life in the swamp when people worked at the Hebard Lumber Company. Like any mysterious place, legends abound, Cribbs and Griffin have a few stories to tell.
