FPC YOUTH

Summer Youth Group: after worship service. We made Korean food, painted new youth room, had a lock-in(saw a light show at stone mountain), went to Susan and Gary's lake house, composed our own worship song!

Summer Sunday School: We spent nine weeks in Sunday school learning about local organizations, studying the Bible related to them, and doing hands-on projects to help them. It was a precious time of helping the local community and doing good work as Christians.

Seeing the results of our Summer of Service: The photos below are to show you that we have helped many organizations through hands-on projects. We have been able to connect with Longleaf Hospice, Family Promise of New Rock, FPC Community Food Pantry, Appalachian Service Project, Blood Drive, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Alcovy CASA, Thornwell Children’s Home, and YMCA. We have helped these organizations through various hands-on projects such as making hygiene kits, thank cards, move-in kits, snack kits, prayer, etc.

What fun we had at the Montreat Middle School Conference this year!

General Sunday Practices

Regular Sunday School starts back on August 11th at 9:45am!

Sunday School is held at 9:45am at FPC! We hold a children's class for PreK-4th grade on the lower level and a youth class for 5th grade and up in the Youth Room on the upper level.

For parents we offer the Foundations Class on the lower level classroom wing, and the WiredWORD class in the Gathering Room on the upper level.

A nursery is also available on the lower level during Sunday School and Worship.

All children are always invited to wiggle and giggle in worship!

We have “Children in Worship” guiding brochure available at the button below! This brochure is intended to serve as an aid to parents and other members of our congregation in welcoming our children to worship.

Children in Worship
During worship children are invited to join us at the front of the Sanctuary for a time of Wondering with God’s Children. Afterwards, children planning to go to the nursery will be escorted downstairs by Pastor Neeley or Pastor Erin. This is to help you stay in worship and us get them to the nursery safely. If you need help finding the nursery, you are invited to ask an usher to point the way.

A nursery is available on the lower level of the church for newborns through 1st grade children. We do hope children will worship with us in the sanctuary! Wiggles and Giggles are so very welcome!

Our nursery is a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for our youngest disciples.

If your little ones become regular visitors to Sunday School, Worship, or the Nursery, we ask that you fill out the Child Medical Consent Form

Thank you to our rotation of Sunday School teachers and Nursery Workers who make it possible for FPC to have such a thriving atmosphere for children!
