Celebrating Stand-Out Youth Projects
We've seen a record number of shoppers in January and February this year, and have already given away an incredible 2,000 wardrobes in 2023. In order to elevate the experience of our shoppers we are continuing to make improvements, especially in the areas of the store where students and their families shop. These recent youth service projects have both made an incredible impact!

Elizabeth Barker, the VP of Philanthropy for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of National Charity League (NCL), was looking for a bigger project for their group. New signage was at the top of our list, so Elizabeth and her mom Susan got right to work designing and printing beautiful blackboard-themed signage for our shoe department and other areas of the shop.
The two then coordinated a large group of fellow NCL moms and daughters to help with installation and some other projects in the store. In addition to all that, the group collected more than 350 pairs of new socks for our shoppers.
We also had the privilege of working with Oceannah Harrison as part of her Eagle Scout project. After learning that we could use doors, hooks and fresh paint for our fitting rooms, Oceannah sprang into action - making plans, raising funds from family and friends and recruiting volunteers. On a build day at her home, she directed cutting the doors to size, installing the hardware and prepping the door trim pieces.
Then she and a great crew came into the shop to install the doors and complete the project. All in all, it took three months, 21 volunteers and 184 service hours to get the job done. Thank you to Oceannah, her dad Chris and the members of Troop 457G for this impactful project!

Look at these new winter coats given by our nonprofit partner WeeCycle! They collect, “weecycle” and match essential baby gear to families through partner organizations focused on alleviating poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, teen pregnancy and under-employment. Thank you to their team for always sharing their 'big kid' items with us!

It was so much fun to host this volunteer group from the Regis Jesuit High School Spanish Honor Society. They sorted donations, helped around the store and assisted families. They even got to practice their Spanish!

Our long-time nonprofit partner Sock It To Em Sock Campaign shared an incredibly generous donation of 2,100 pairs of new socks, 1,000 pairs of shorts, 50 shirts and 600 pairs of slippers. Big gifts like these go a long way in helping us provide a great selection for our shoppers. Thank you, Sock it to 'Em!

This fun and energetic volunteer group from Compass Montessori made a big impact during their volunteer day. Their dedicated students have come for many volunteer days and held several drives for us over the years - what a terrific school!

The members of our Thursday volunteer crew really outdid themselves last week. They packed 25 curbside orders and assisted 55 in-person shoppers in just one day. Incredible! Visit our Shop with Us page for more information about how to make an appointment to shop in person or order a wardrobe for pick-up.
