Dear Parents,

We were all super busy learning new things this week. Please, I am begging you, read your child's class letter. There is so much wonderful learning going on and the teachers work so hard all week. I know you will be amazed after reading their letters of the week.

This week we celebrated many birthdays at our school. If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday with us, be sure to go to our website www.kidsforkidsacademy.com and go to the PARENT CORNER. Once there scroll down to the box for BIRTHDAYS to learn some of the possible ways your child can share their birthday with their friends at school.

This week our kids in all rooms except Yellow and Red (they are still too small) were treated to a ride on the Jungle Gym. If your child was in attendance for that you will see a $7 charge on your account. The Karate and Ballet classes are still going strong. Be sure to check out the video highlights on our website...Again, go to the PARENT CORNER and you will see a box with the videos titled KARATE AND BALLET.

This week we also had a visit from the Miami Dade Police who set up an informational booth on car seat safety and they also passed out goodies to anyone who stopped by their table.

Next week they will be back doing mini-classes on Stranger Danger and Car Seat Safety with their friend BUCKLE BEAR. Those programs will be for kids ages 4 and up. You will see on the calendar next week we are supposed to have a Sensory Play field trip. That has been moved one week later so that we can have the police demonstrations next week....LOTS OF FUN packed into one fun-filled summer.

The following week when most of our school will have the Sensory field trip, our youngest kids will be treated to a storyteller from the local library.

It is hard to believe that it seems like summer just started and it is already more than halfway over. With just 4 weeks left, please be sure to mark your calendar for the following dates:

Thursday, August 10th, our school closes at 2 pm so that our staff can get ready for parent orientation and back to school. We are CLOSED all day on August 11th for our Parent Orientation. There will be a sign-up sheet going up next week so you can sign up for one of 3 time slots to learn more about your child's class and teacher.
