Woman-owned businesses in the U.S. top 12 million and generate $2.1 trillion in receipts annually, with female founders representing 22.4% of all small business owners. This Women’s History Month, SCORE celebrates women entrepreneurs and their indelible impact on the U.S. economy while offering support to overcome challenges. “Being an entrepreneur can be lonely, stressful and you can feel lost at times," said SCORE San Diego client Kelly Twichel, inventor, CEO and co-founder of Access Trax. There is an exciting new feature being added to score.org! The Mentor Matchmaker makes finding a mentor even easier for our clients and web visitors.
This addition to our website pulls the search filters forward as questions for users to complete and be presented with a custom, filtered list of mentors to view. Alongside zip code search and the option to browse mentors independently, Mentor Matchmaker will serve as one more way to support entrepreneurs in finding an expert mentor to partner with. Look for this to appear on score.org on March 8th by close of business. You can find this in the main navigation under “Find a Mentor”.
