Fall Festival Volunteers Needed Oct 25



Our annual Fall Festival is on Oct 25 from 2:30-4:30 pm. We need every family's help to make this event a success! Most shifts are just 45 minutes long. No experience necessary. Lots of options - help at a game booth, sell food, do facepaint, give out prizes, setup/cleanup, and more. Sign up today!

Other Ways to Get Ready for Fall Festival

• Buy tickets to use for food and activities like games, crafts, and more
• Sign the annual PTA waiver - one per student
• Donate baked goods, chips, or drinks. See the slots at 8:00-9:00

Science Room News

All Kinder-5th grade classes will be regularly visiting the science room this year to experience hands-on science activities and apply what they have been learning in the classroom. See the attached newsletter for a summary of activities done in September. Cherry Chase PTA provides major funding for this program

Cherry Chase Diwali Event Registration & Call for Participants

We’re excited to announce the Diwali event on Nov 15, 2024 (Friday) from 5:30 - 9 pm!

Along with favorites like Rangoli, we’re offering a platform for Cherry Chase students and parents to share their talents—whether it’s music, dance, or instruments! We’re looking for participants for solo or group performances.

As always, this event is free and is open to all Cherry Chase student families and current residents of the Cherry Chase neighborhood.

Seeking Coaches for Girls on the Run

Would you like to mentor girls at our school in a fun, empowering program? We are currently seeking volunteer coaches for Girls on the Run 3rd-5th grade program for the spring season. Girls on the Run is a character development program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using an experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Cherry Chase PTA Supports Measure Y

On Nov 5, voters in the Sunnyvale School District will be asked to renew the District’s $59 per year parcel tax, Measure Y. First approved in 2011, the parcel tax has raised approximately $1.1 million annually to support teachers and classroom programs.
