Students Are Getting Fired Up to Become First Responders!
Students in the Fire Science Academy at Palm Beach Lakes High School will be learning the skills to become a firefighter using their very own fire engine to train with. For years, professional firefighters with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue used the engine to save lives and put out fires. Thanks to a generous donation, it will now be a learning tool for PBC's next generation of heroes!

The Wellington Wolverines Are Marching Their Way Across The Pond
The Wellington High School ‘Mighty Wolverine Sound’ marching band is heading to London to perform in the famous New Year's Day parade and festival. Band Director, Mary Oser said, "We were originally invited in 2020 and were ready to accept the invitation. Representatives from the parade personally delivered our invitation and we were so excited… until the pandemic hit a month later.” So since then, these musicians have been playing, marching, and hoping for another chance, and here it is!
Wellington High School is one of just 20 marching bands from the U.S. to be performing in the parade. Senior, Anden Toale said, "It's been a lot of work. We definitely have put in a lot of time and effort to make sure the music sounds good and our marching technique is on point. We have to look good. We’re going to impress people internationally."
PBCSD wishes the Wellington Wolverines great success in their exciting performance and safe travels to London!
