CMS Releases Advance Notice of Methodological Changes for Calendar Year 2024 for Medicare Advantage (MA) Capitation Rates and Part C and Part D Payment Policies
On February 1, 2023, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) distributed the above 2024 Advance Notice announcement. This announcement sets forth, among other things, the proposed Part D benefit parameters and updates to MA and Part D Star Ratings. Although the announcement covers many topics, this summary focuses on only the proposed Part D benefit parameters and updates to the Part C and D Star Ratings. CMS is accepting comments on the Advance Notice through Friday, March, 2023, and will be releasing the final Rate Announcement by April 3, 2023.
