Happy New Year! We hope everyone enjoyed their winter break. It sure went fast! Registration for the 2023-2024 school year is now available. Preschool registration can be done online or in person at the Crystal Lake Park District Administration Office. Please check the park district website at crystallakeparks.org, for all the available preschool classes. Staff members can also assist with any questions or concerns.
Registration for Kindergarten will be happening in the month of January and February. As soon as I receive information about registration, I will send it to out. If you need to talk to any of the teachers, email me at dmaccrindle@crystallakeparks.org or give me a call at 815-477-5403. I will pass the message to the teachers, and they will contact you as soon as possible.
School will resume on Tuesday, January 3. We will have no school on January 13 and 16, Institute Day and Martin Luther King Day. We will be going to the Crystal Lake Library on Thursday, January 26 and Friday, January 27. A flyer will be sent out explaining the field trip.
If School District 47 cancels school due to inclement weather, Barlina House will also be closed. Remember to check our “rainoutline” also for closings. We will be going outside if the temperature is above 20 degrees with no windchill. Please send appropriate outdoor wear for your child. If you would like, you can put the snow gear in another bag. Remember to bring shoes to change into if they wear their boots to school.
