Together, we can build a new shelter!
In order for HBPets to continue its critical work for decades to come, we must replace the almost-century-old buildings. Despite our best efforts, we can no longer patch issues as they arise. We need your help and together, we're confident it will happen.

Our goal is to build a safe, efficient shelter that provides animals with room to exercise, temperature and noise control and ventilation, natural light, and welcoming areas for the public and potential adopters. Our staff, volunteers, the community, and most importantly the animals will all benefit from having a healthier, safer, and low stress environment. Maintenance costs will decrease, allowing HBPets to spend more money where it will have the most impact – helping animals!

$48 ADOPTION FEES? Mee-ow!
To celebrate our 48th Anniversary (and to find our dogs and cats homes!), the adoption fee for all animals over six months old has been reduced to $48 until August 31.

Here are a few of our amazing animals who have been patiently waiting (for too long, in our opinion!) for their furever families: hbpets.org/adoptable-pets.

We hope you take advantage of this special pricing (and that you'll buy some extra treats, toys, or a cozy bed with the money you'll be saving!

Dogs are by appointment only. You can visit our cats from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Thursday - Saturday. To learn more about the adoption process and requirements, please visit hbpets.org/adoption-faqs.

Please give our shelter team several days to respond to your phone or email messages because they have their hands full with all the animals we are housing. Our shelter is at 10601 SE Loop Rd, Dayton, OR 97114.
DOGS, BLUES, SPIRITS, & BBQ!

Something to smile about!
Since opening in late 2017, the HBPets Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic has provided over 34,000 services to dogs, cats, and even rabbbits and rats, including 15,896 spay/neuter surgeries, 3,170 microchips, and 15,004 vaccines! We are extremely proud of our dedicated staff and volunteers who work tirelessly each day to reduce pet overpopulation and help animals live happier, healthier and safer lives.

According to The Humane Society of the United States, approximately 80% of the 3 million animals euthanized every year in shelters are healthy and could have been adopted into new homes.” Spay/neuter programs are a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation and help healthy, adoptable cats and dogs find families to love and care for them.

It’s because of the generosity we receive from our community that our work continues; for that, we're deeply grateful and honored. Please be part of the solution, and spay and neuter your pets.
