DoD ESTCP Final Report Now Available!
Fend won the 2021 "Project of the Year" award for our work with the US Department of Defense (DoD) Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP). During this project, our products underwent testing by the US Army and Navy to evaluate functional, security, and financial performance. The final project report describing the test methodologies and results is now available for download on the SERDP-ESTCP website. If you're deploying a microgrid, planning for EV charging infrastructure, collecting data as part of an Energy Savings Performance Contract, or need help sharing information among stakeholders, this report is a valuable resource to help you plan and execute projects while cost-effectively and securely getting the data you need.

$10.5 Billion Available for Grid Resilience Including Cybersecurity Upgrades
On 29 November, the US Department of Energy announced the $10.5 billion Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) program to enhance grid flexibility and improve the resilience of the power system against growing threats of extreme weather and climate change. These programs are intended to accelerate the deployment of transformative projects that will help to ensure the reliability of the power sector’s infrastructure. The FY22 and FY23 funding for this program is $3.8 billion. The GRIP program includes three financing mechanisms: Grid Resilience Utility and Industry Formula Grants, Smart Grid Grant Program, and the Grid Innovation Program.
