Children & Youth Ministries Weekly Update

The wise heart will know the proper time and the just way.

For there is a time and way for everything.

 Ecclesiastes 8:5-6 (ESV)

Chris Keinath has been involved in Youth Ministry at CPC for over twenty years. His inspiring dedication to the children of God spans continents. His video, taken several days ago in Senegal, addresses the needs of the Talibe boys and gives us a glimpse into the Girl’s Training Center, as young women learn life skills in a safe and nurturing environment.  We are grateful for the many ways Chris and other volunteers have blessed the children in Senegal and continue to bless many children here in Vancouver as well.

Ever wonder how you might take the first step in getting involved in Children and Youth ministry on a local level? The Lord may have a purpose and plan for you working with our younger generations. Perhaps now is the time? We definitely offer many ways! And you never know, perhaps the next person visiting the youth in Senegal may be you

How can you get involved in Youth and Children’s Ministry here at CPC?

  • Become a Sunday School Teacher/Leader for the 2023-2024 School Year. We need help at all grade levels!
  • Volunteer your skills at VBS. Artists, teachers and volunteers of all kinds are needed to put on this highly anticipated event that serves over 100 children every summer.
  • Middle and High school youth groups are always looking for musicians to help with worship.
  • The nursery needs volunteers on Sunday mornings, during weekly programming and for special events.
  • Middle/High School Sunday School needs a doughnut delivery! Pick a Sunday to bring doughnuts and score big points with our teens.
  • Parent’s Night Out is coming up on March 24th! We need adults to work along side youth to create and fun and memorable night for kids while parents get some kid-free time!
  • Volunteer as a Middle or High School Youth Group Leader!
  • MOPS is starting in the Fall and we are in search of Mentor Moms to lead table groups twice a month.
  • Intern Training! We are always looking for congregants who have passions and skills to share with our intern staff (high school-college age young adults) over the summer.
  • Donate new or like-new items, experiences or vacation rentals to the Work Camp Auction supporting our Youth’s Work Camp trip to Alabama this summer.

Email Tifny if you'd like to volunteer.

Last weekend! We will be blessing the donations this Sunday.
