As we approach August, we are in the thick of summer and hopefully you've had the chance to enjoy your well-deserved break from classes with some fun in the sun, family time, and some of your favorite recharging activities. Not to rain on your summer sun, though - the fall semester is right around the corner summertime is actually the perfect time to start searching for and preparing your scholarship applications! While the Coastline Scholarship Application may not open until later this year, there are still hundreds of External Scholarships available year-round. Start searching now for a stress-free fall!

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of scholarships out there, for people of all walks of life, not just graduating high school students. ATTN: Transfer Students! Save the Date!


The Coastline Umoja Community and Coastline Transfer Services would like to share an exciting upcoming opportunity! The San Diego State University Black Resource Center (BRC), Educational Opportunity Programs, Outreach and Success (EOPOS), Admissions, Enrollment Services, Project Rebound, and the Black Transfer Student Support Club will be hosting the first-ever Black Transfer Student Success Conference! This conference will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10 am-4 pm in the Conrad Prebys Student Union at SDSU.


The purpose of the Black Transfer Student Success Conference is to connect with community colleges and prospective Black transfer students by featuring workshops, keynote speakers, and sessions focused on the admission process, campus resources, and community building. It also allows prospective students to learn more about the BRC and SDSU community.

The Transfer Center is ready to help with your application, what documents are needed, pitfalls to avoid, and submit your CSU application before the August 31 deadline! Information will be shared on how you can also attend CSU-sponsored application workshops to begin networking now with the CSU!

UCLA Bruin Underground Scholars Info Session & Campus Tour

Coastline Dolphins are invited to a special welcome session designed specifically for community college students who are interested in learning about UCLA. This session is especially tailored for those who are formerly incarcerated or system-impacted and seeking additional support through Underground Scholars. You will be introduced to the incredible resources and support networks available at UCLA to help you thrive academically, personally, and professionally. During the session, you'll have the opportunity to meet representatives from various campus organizations dedicated to supporting your journey. They will share valuable information about the resources, programs, and services they offer to ensure your success at UCLA. This will be an inspiring and informative event where you'll connect with fellow students, learn about the support available to you, and start your UCLA journey on the right foot.

*NOTE: College Staff & Faculty are also invited.

Fall 2024 Registration Now Open!

Planning to return or join us for the first time this fall? Registration is open! It's time to check out the class schedule and sign up for new courses! Visit the Registration Page for all the important dates and info you'll need to know. The fall semester starts Monday, August 26th - we'll see you there!


DAP Fall 2024 Book Voucher Application Opening Soon!

Need books for classes? Check to see if you qualify for a book voucher, today! The Dolphin Assistance Program (DAP) book voucher is awarded to eligible students in Fall, Spring, and Summer terms based on program funding availability, student program eligibility and financial aid eligibility. Students participating in the Book Voucher program agree to return their books to the Basic Needs Office at the conclusion of the semester. The books will be donated to the Coastline book borrowing program. Students must participate in one workshop and complete a follow up survey. The Fall 2024 application opens Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at 9am (PDT). Let the Coastline Pantry Help You Save on Groceries!

Spend your money on more than groceries! The Coastline Food Pantry supports students' nutritional needs with both perishable and non-perishable items available free of charge through weekly programming and Food Box pick up. The Coastline Food Pantry does not require an RSVP or reservation. All Coastline students are welcome to utilize the weekly Food Pantry and only need to check in via the Coastline Mobile App. Pick-ups are 11am-1pm on Mondays (Garden Grove Campus), Thursdays (Newport Beach Campus), and the second Tuesday of each month (Westminster-Le Jao Campus). As part of Coastline's ongoing efforts to enhance communication and support for our students, we are excited to introduce a new feature that aims to streamline the process of seeking information and assistance. The "Got questions?" for serves as a centralized hub for inquires, providing a convenient and efficient for you to submit questions and receive a response within 24 to 48 hours. Hey, Dolphins! Did you know that you have a free resource to basic needs, from any city within the United States? That's right! Food assistance, low cost prescriptions, transportation, housing assistance and more. You can access free or low cost services through the TimelyCare app. Signing up is easy. All you have to do is download the TimelyCare app or visit timelycare.com/coastline on your web-enabled device, sign in with your school .edu email address, then create a profile - and that’s it! Have questions? Check it out on Coastline's Mental Health Services page, then visit timelycare.com/coastline to get started.
