"COUNT, GROUP, & COMPARE"
Every Child’s Brain is Wired for Math! Talk about numbers, shapes, patterns, and
comparisons throughout the day. You don’t need to be a math teacher. Use your own ideas! Counting is an essential building block of mathematics!
Learning to count at a young age will prepare your child to solve math problems later (adding, subtracting, etc.) Strive to use sentences that include numbers and talk about the size of things. Be sure to use words like more, less, big, small, etc... on a daily basis.
