This is a fantastic opportunity to move your body, connect with fellow students, and discover resources tailored just for you.

We Want Your Input! To ensure this event meets your needs, interests and availability, please take a moment to complete our brief survey. Your feedback will help us shape the event’s activities and schedule.

This is a collaboration between Exercise is Medicine - On Campus and the Re-Entry Student Program.

We're Making Moves at University Village

Our team has been working on a project at University Village (UVA) to make physical activity more accessible for the residents.

  • In the Outdoor Gym, safety stickers and QR codes have been installed with instructions to help residents use the equipment safely and effectively.
  • In the Study Rooms, stretch posters encourage quick breaks to keep students refreshed while they study.
  • For those spending time in the Laundry Rooms, posters featuring exercises and QR codes link to instructional videos, making it easy for residents to stay active while waiting for their laundry. See below for a copy of the exercises!
  • At the Playgrounds, posters with exercises and QR codes will inspire parents to engage in physical activity while watching their children play.

Together, these projects create a supportive environment that encourages fitness and well-being in everyday spaces for all UVA residents!

Kickstart Your Health with EIM Personal Training

Meet with the Exercise is Medicine-On Campus (EIM-OC) Personal Training Program Specialist to kickstart your health and wellness journey. During a fitness consultation, you'll assess your current fitness level, learn how to get started, and create a personalized program tailored to your unique needs.

If you currently engage in less than 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week and fewer than two days of muscle-strengthening exercises, you may qualify for EIM-OC’s fee-offset personal training package, which includes three personal training sessions.

To get started, complete the survey to see if your current activity levels make you eligible for personal training. If you meet the criteria, you'll receive a link to schedule your consultation.

Don't Forget to Take Stretch Breaks!

Consider downloading our handy study break stretch guide. It might seem small, but those little pauses can make a huge difference in how your body feels. Plus, a quick break can refresh your mind and give you the energy you need to tackle that next chapter or assignment. So, don’t forget to stand up, move around, and give your body a little love—it’ll make your study sessions way more effective!
