Membership Invoices to Hit Mailboxes in November

As we enter the last quarter of 2024, staff are gearing up for the 2025 membership renewals. This means email notices will be landing in your inbox at the beginning of November. There are a few things you can do to help with the process:

  1. Make certain you know your login information for your IMSA account. That is where you will find and pay your invoice.
  2. Verify we have the correct email address on file in your profile to send the renewal notice.
  3. Ensure your membership category is correct.

If your employer or section pays your dues, there is nothing you need to do. Although we would appreciate you verifying your contact information.

For company administrators, please be sure to review your roster prior to Oct. 31. Changes can be made here

Hurricanes Helene and Milton – We Want to Hear Your Stories

September is notorious for hurricanes, and unfortunately this year was no exception. Helene cut a 500-mile swath of destruction from Florida to the Carolinas on Sept. 26, and less than 2 weeks later Milton maintained hurricane status as it crossed the Sunshine State. As a result of these devastating storms, public safety infrastructure in many communities was impacted.

As a public safety professional, we want to hear your story. If you were in the path of Helene, Milton or both, let us know how your community was impacted. Stories will appear in the IMSA Journal. Please send a brief write-up and photos by Oct. 21. If you prefer to have us write the story OR if you cannot make the deadline, email mtaylor@imsasafety.org

Deadline Extended for Traffic Signal Technical Sessions

If you missed the deadline for the 2023 Traffic Signal Technical Sessions, you’re in luck! The deadline has been extended. Students will now have until Oct. 31 at midnight EST to complete the sessions, which are worth a total of 16 CECs.

Earn CECs Now!

Need CECs in an area other than traffic signal? Stay tuned! The IMSA certification department is working on a new round of technical sessions. More information will be announced when it is available.

Webinar Rescheduled to Oct. 22 at 2 pm

Due to technical difficulties, Ray Keys’ webinar, Securing Transportation's Critical Infrastructure to Address Rising Threats and Enhance Operations, had to be postponed. This webinar is an expansion on the one sponsored by Genetec in July, as it now includes an overview of the new NEMA TS40008 Cyber and Physical Security Standards for Intelligent Transportation Systems with guest Guerry Bruner of ASSA ABLOY.

Please join us on October 22 at 2 pm!
